Meet the owner

Hello, I’m Nicole- the heart behind Leaf & Lead Dog Walks.

I’m a proud mum to my beautiful daughter, and the owner of two wonderful high-energy companions, my Golden Retriever Rupert and Cocker Spaniel Effy, who keep life lively and full of joy.

My love for dogs has been lifelong. I grew up surrounded by them, from hardworking sheepdogs to French Bulldogs, Bull Mastiffs, Golden Retrievers and Labradors. This early exposure shaped my deep understanding of canine behaviour and the importance of calm, consistent and compassionate care.

I’ve also spent years working across multiple farms, further strengthening my connection with animals and the outdoors. Before becoming a mum, I enjoyed horse riding, something that reflects my long-standing respect and bond with animals.

You’ll often find me out and about in the local area with my little one safely snuggled in her backpack, exploring the forest we love so much. If you see us, please do give us a wave, we’re always happy to say hello!

Leaf & Lead was created from a genuine passion, experience and a desire to provide safe, reliable and thoughtful care for dogs, treating each one as if they were my own.

Why choose
 leaf & lead?

🐾 Busy Work Schedule
Long working hours can make it difficult to give your dog the exercise and attention they need during the day.
🐾 Reduce Destructive Behaviour
A well-exercised dog is less likely to chew furniture, bark excessively, or get into mischief at home.
🐾 Socialisation Opportunities
Regular walks can help dogs build confidence and interact positively with other dogs and people.
🐾 Support for Puppies
Young dogs benefit from short walks, toilet breaks, and early socialisation experiences.
🐾 Help for Elderly or Less Mobile Owners
A dog walker can ensure your pet gets the exercise they need when walking becomes difficult.
🐾 Consistency and Routine
Dogs thrive on routine, and regular walks provide structure to their day.
🐾 Extra Help During Illness or Injury
If you’re temporarily unable to walk your dog, we can step in and help.
🐾 A Happier, Healthier Dog
Regular exercise, companionship, and enrichment all contribute to your dog’s overall wellbeing and happiness.

At Leaf & Lead, we’re here to help your dog stay active, stimulated, and content while fitting around your schedule. 🐕🍃🐾

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Highly recommend Nicole, my boy is not just going for a big walk he’s learning how to walk better and not pull etc. I love knowing he’s had a long, fun walk with Nicole each week so I don’t feel too bad with daily short walks now work has changed my free time. Also love getting the photos & videos.
